The tradition continues! The Racine Family YMCA is thrilled to announce that the 48th Annual Lighthouse Run is set for Saturday, June 20, 2026. As one of Wisconsin’s premier run/walk events, the Lighthouse Run offers a beautiful course along the Lake Michigan shoreline, blending competitive racing with community fun.

Whether you are a seasoned marathoner, a casual walker, or looking for a fun family activity, there is an event for everyone at Festival Park.

Something for Every Pace

The Lighthouse Run is famous for its variety of courses, catering to all ages and fitness levels:

  • 10-Mile & 4-Mile Competitive Runs: For those looking to test their limits on a USATF-certified course.
  • 2 & 4-Mile Fun Run/Walk: Perfect for families, friends, and those who want to enjoy the scenery at a relaxed pace.
  • Wheelchair Division: Starting at 7:45 am, providing an inclusive competitive environment.
  • "Carl Granetzke" Memorial Kids Run: A great way to get the youngest members of our community moving.

Celebrate at Festival Park

The race may end at the finish line, but the fun continues at Festival Park! Participants and spectators can enjoy a post-race celebration featuring complimentary beverages and a festive atmosphere. It’s the perfect way to kick off the summer and celebrate your achievement with fellow neighbors.

  • Swag Alert: Register by June 7, 2026, to guarantee your commemorative T-shirt and finisher’s medal.
  • Important Note: There is no same-day registration, so be sure to secure your spot online in advance!

NEW BRAY CENTER FOOD PANTRY NOW SERVING RACINE NEIGHBORS

Bray Center Food Pantry

The YMCA of Racine is proud to announce the official launch of the Bray Center Food Pantry, a neighborhood-based initiative dedicated to providing free, nutritious groceries to individuals and families in our community.

Located at 924 Center Street, the pantry was established to serve as a vital resource for Racine County residents. By providing a variety of staples - including fresh produce, high-quality proteins, and shelf-stable essentials - the YMCA aims to help neighbors stretch their household budgets and ensure every family has access to healthy meal options.

A Resource for the Community

The Bray Center Food Pantry is more than just a place to get groceries; it is a commitment to the health and well-being of our neighbors. Understanding that food insecurity affects many in our area, the YMCA has designed this program to be accessible and welcoming.

Pantry Details:

  • When: Every Tuesday | 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
  • Where: The Bray Center, 924 Center Street, Racine, WI
  • Eligibility: Open to all Racine County residents once per month.

What to Bring: To ensure we serve our residents efficiently, please bring:

  1. Photo ID
  2. recent piece of mail (within the last 30 days) to verify your current address.

Neighbors Helping Neighbors: Volunteers Needed

Bray Center Food PantryThe success of the Bray Center Food Pantry relies on the strength of our volunteers. We are looking for caring community members to help us create a welcoming environment for our guests.

Whether you can commit to a weekly shift or just help out occasionally, your time makes a tangible difference. Volunteer tasks include sorting and stocking food, assisting guests during pantry hours, and keeping the space organized.

Volunteer Shifts:

  • Mondays: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM (Prep and Stocking)
  • Tuesdays: 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM (Distribution and Guest Service)

Racine Family YMCA Announces "A Twirl Through Time" 150th Anniversary Celebration

The Racine Family YMCA is thrilled to announce a milestone event, the "YMCA 150th Celebration: A Twirl Through Time," commemorating 150 years of dedicated community impact, connection, and growth.

This special evening is designed to reflect on the YMCA's rich journey in the Racine area while honoring its past, celebrating the present, and looking ahead to a stronger future together.


An Exciting Evening of Celebration

The celebration on November 8th will feature a lively atmosphere with music and an incredible showcase. The highlight of the night will be an exciting, friendly dance competition where five community members will partner with professional dancers from Fred Astaire Dance Studios to compete on stage in celebration of this incredible milestone.

Don’t miss the opportunity to be part of the fun—come cheer them on and cast your vote for your favorite dancer! We'd love to have you join us for this special night.

Celebrating 150 years is a testament to the incredible community support that has allowed the Racine Y to champion youth development and healthy living for generations.
