Liability & Billing Waiver

LIABILITY 

I understand and voluntarily accept all risks of injury related to my use of the Racine Family YMCA (YMCA) facilities, equipment, and participation in YMCA activities—whether on YMCA premises or at another location. I, for myself and my heirs or assigns, hereby waive, release, and agree to hold harmless the YMCA, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims for injury, loss, or damage, except where prohibited by law. I acknowledge that I am physically capable of participating in YMCA programs and activities and will avoid any participation that could cause harm to myself or others. 
 
As the primary member, I understand I am responsible for the conduct and safety of all minors and other adult members on my account, as well as any guests I bring. I will ensure that everyone using the YMCA under my membership follows YMCA policies and behaves in a safe and respectful manner. 

SEX OFFENDER POLICY 

The YMCA conducts routine sex offender screenings for the safety of its members, participants, and guests. If a match is identified, the YMCA reserves the right to terminate access, membership, or participation in its programs. 

PHOTO RELEASE 

I grant the YMCA permission to use photographs, video, audio recordings, or likenesses of me or my family members, taken in connection with YMCA participation, for YMCA promotional purposes without compensation. I agree not to record or photograph others in YMCA facilities or programs without permission. Conduct in violation of YMCA policy may result in suspension or termination of membership. 

CODE OF CONDUCT 

All members, guests, and program participants are expected to demonstrate behavior consistent with YMCA core values: Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility. As the primary member, I accept responsibility for all members on my account and any guests. Violations of the YMCA Member Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including termination of membership. I understand I am responsible for keeping my contact information current with the YMCA. 

PRIVACY STATEMENT 

The YMCA respects your right to privacy. A full privacy policy is available at www.ymcaracine.org, and I understand I can access it at any time. 

 

Membership Billing 

BILLING & PAYMENT TERMS 

- Membership dues are paid through automatically recurring charges based on the billing schedule selected by the member (monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, or annually).   
- By providing my payment information, I authorize the YMCA to charge my account at the designated interval, and I understand that charges will continue until canceled by me. 
- I can view my billing amount and schedule at any time by logging into my account at www.ymcaracine.org at the “My Account” page. 
- I understand I will receive at least 30 days’ notice before any change to the amount or timing of my scheduled charges. 
- If a payment is declined, a $30 returned payment fee will be applied. This is in addition to any charges from my financial institution. 
- Membership Loyalty Rate will not apply if a membership is inactive for more than 30 days. 

MEMBERSHIP CANCELLATION 

- I may cancel my membership at any time by logging into my online YMCA account, available through www.ymcaracine.org, and following the cancellation process. 
- To avoid further charges, cancellation requests must be submitted before the next scheduled draft date. 
- It is the member’s responsibility to ensure their membership termination is fully completed. A confirmation email is sent once the process is successfully submitted. If a member does not receive confirmation, they must contact the YMCA immediately to verify their status. The YMCA will not issue refunds for months beyond the effective termination date if the cancellation was not properly submitted. 
- The YMCA reserves the right to terminate membership due to non-payment. Any unpaid balance will be due prior to rejoining. 

RATE ADJUSTMENTS 

The YMCA Board of Directors may adjust membership rates at its discretion. Members will receive at least 30 days’ notice before any rate change goes into effect. For annual or semi-annual memberships, rate adjustments will occur at renewal. 

NON-REFUNDABLE STATEMENT 

All membership dues and fees are non-refundable. This includes charges incurred after cancellation requests submitted past a scheduled draft date. The YMCA does not provide refunds for unused memberships or lack of facility use.  All refunds must be requested within 2 months of payment, no refunds will be issued after 2 months.
