Membership Guidelines

Membership Payment Options

Membership payments can be made in two ways:

  1. Monthly Bank Draft: This is an ongoing membership plan. Upon joining, members pay a one-time joiner’s fee and a prorated fee for the first month. After that, the monthly membership fee is automatically withdrawn (via electronic fund transfer) from a checking or savings account, or charged to a debit or credit card, on the first of each month.

  2. Annual Payment: This option requires the full membership fee to be paid upfront at the time of joining.

Please note that membership fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Day Passes

The general public is welcome to visit the YMCA at any time by purchasing a day pass. Guests aged 13 and older must present a valid photo ID each time they visit. Please note there is a limit of 8 day passes per person, per month.

Day Pass Rates (non-refundable):

  • Youth: $10
  • Adult: $15
  • Family: $25

Membership Cards

For everyone’s safety, you are required to present and swipe your membership card at each visit to any Racine Family YMCA branch. If needed, replacement cards can be purchased at any time for $5.

Facility Member Guest Privileges

Each billable member receives three (3) complimentary guest passes per calendar year, while loyalty members receive six (6) complimentary guest passes per calendar year. All guests aged 13 and older must provide a valid photo ID and sign a daily liability waiver for each visit.

Towels & Lockers

The Racine Family YMCA does not provide towels for member use, so please remember to bring your own. We also encourage you to use a lock to secure your belongings; however, locks may not be left on lockers overnight. Any locks left overnight will be removed, and the contents will be placed in lost and found.

Lost & Found

The YMCA is not responsible for lost, stolen, or missing items. Lost and found items are held at the Welcome Center for 48 hours before being donated to a charitable organization.

Financial Assistance

If you are unable to afford the full cost of a YMCA membership or program, we encourage you to fill out the Membership for All application. Financial assistance is available to those in need, thanks to the support of the Annual Campaign.

Nationwide Membership

The YMCA's nationwide membership program allows active, full-facility members to visit any participating YMCA in the United States. Nationwide members must use their home YMCA at least 50% of the time. Please note that program-only participants and special memberships (such as group homes or other agencies) are not eligible for this program. Planning a trip? Visit www.ymca.org to find a YMCA at your destination.

Multi-Media

The use of cell phones and other electronic devices is prohibited in ALL locker rooms and restrooms. YMCA programs and events are often photographed or videotaped for promotional purposes. If you do not wish to be included, please notify the YMCA event and/or program staff.

Disabilities

If you have a disability, need further assistance, or require more information, please contact the Welcome Center at 262-898-4551.

Credits & Refunds

All schedules, activities, and class fees are subject to change or cancellation by the YMCA without notice. If the YMCA cancels a class that has a fee, a full refund or credit toward another session will be issued. We are happy to offer refunds or credits upon request for medical reasons. Documentation is required, and a prorated system will be used. A 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund or credit amount. Credits are valid for 6 months.

Cancellation

The YMCA does not require contracts. To cancel your membership, you must visit https://ymcaracine.org/forms and complete the cancellation form at least five (5) business days prior to your draft date. Refunds are not provided for memberships canceled early. Your membership can be reinstated within 60 days of cancellation without the need to repay the Joiner’s Fee. Any changes to your membership must be made at least five (5) business days prior to your scheduled bank draft.

Membership "On Hold"

Memberships may be placed "on hold" once per calendar year for up to 4 months. A hold fee of $20 will be applied to your account. This provides an extended leave from your membership while saving you from repaying the Joiner’s Fee when you return. To place your membership on hold, you must visit https://ymcaracine.org/forms and complete the hold form at least five (5) business days prior to your draft date.

Service Fees, Returned Checks, & Declined Charges

The YMCA reserves the right to charge a $30 return fee for all returned checks, electronic fund transfers, and declined recurring debit/credit card charges. The YMCA also charges a 3% service fee for credit/debit transactions and a 0.72% service fee for ACH transactions.
